This one is for my home-buddies.
As a homebody, I adore home sessions! Not only because I am also a nosy person by nature and also frequent real estate listings online because I love to see how people have their homes set up (who doesn't love getting home inspo?) but also because I love seeing you at your most comfortable. Now, it may not feel as comfortable welcoming a stranger into your home (in this case I photographed Alison and Brandon's elopement so I wasn't a complete stranger) but you do have more control and know your surroundings well. Throw a new cutie-adorable-sweet-angel baby into the mix et voila! You have the "perfect storm" set up for photos because a) you know your home better than anyone, and b) you now have a bundle of cuteness to help you fight the dreaded "what do I do with my hands?!" thought!
Home sessions are also so great to include our furry friends! This space is also where they are most comfortable and for some of our fur children, they are a little coo-coo once their paws hit the pavement, gravel, grass or sand (speaking as someone who has two that are just like that) so to avoid that while also including them in some memories, bring the session to you!
I feel so honoured when people invite me to their homes for photos. It allows me a deeper glimpse into who you are which helps me to tell your story through photos a bit better. So, to all who have invited into your homes (and have gone a little crazy with cleaning because guests are coming over - I know I would, haha!), I appreciate you greatly!
