This is what it's all about.
There was something about Annabe and Jesse when I first them for coffee at Trident Booksellers and Cafe that I just knew they were my kind of people!
They both have this loving, kind, generous and open-minded personality that is just so beautiful. You honestly need to meet them for yourself because words cannot describe them well enough!
Both of them came to Nova Scotia for school and before they move away in the summer, they wanted to tie the knot in this quaint province beside the sea :)
After hearing about a past trip to Western Newfoundland in the winter, I knew that the rain and slightly chillier temperature forecasted for their April 1st elopement at Martinique Beach was going to be like a walk in the park for these two, haha! There was not a moment where they showed any concern or stress over the weather and though the rain picked up slightly during their super sweet and special ceremony (that they did a livestream for their families and loved across the globe), the mist did not stop us from having the most magical and best time capturing memories!
After frolicking in the FREEZING ocean with Annabe - her barefoot and me attempting to stay dry in my waterproof Blundstones but failing miserably (because ocean water rises and moves quickly haha!), we all made it back to our cars, I gave my well-wishes to them and their friends (three of them were heading on a cross-country road-trip the next day!), and I got back into my car and just felt an overwhelming sense of joy.
This is what it's all about. This is my why.
People who are starting, living, or saying goodbye to a chapter in their live's with an open-heart!
For the folks who are chasing joy and embracing it when it slaps them in the face!
For the wild at heart, the free-spirits, and the passionately in love!
For the families with crazy kids and goofy pets!
For the mom who wants to be in front of the camera instead of behind it!
