Ever wonder what renting an island for your elopement or micro wedding would look like?

Who would have thought that this would be a possibility here in Nova Scotia, Canada!

Yes, you read that right! This island is the home to Nova Glamping, a luxuary glamping experience just off the coast of West Dover, Nova Scotia. With a unique view of Polly's Cove (a place that I have mentioned often - click here to see a sunset session in Polly's Cove) and a glimpse of Peggy's Cove Lighthouse through the rocks! This place is spectacular!

Aileen + Andrew came from Saint John, New Brunswick and wanted to keep their wedding small but memorable for them and their loved ones. And I think that they, along with the hard work from Mary + Osama (the couple who own and run Nova Glamping) nailed it! I felt speechless the short time I was with Aileen, Andrew and their families on this island. Even though it is very close to the mainland you still feel like you are somewhere far away!

It is the epitome of the word "getaway"!

I can't make a post about their elopement without mentioning two more things:

1. There are now GOATS on the island! And they are so cute and get to run around from time to time!
2. Mary, Osama, and team of people they had working with them did an outstanding job putting this all together and in just 2 weeks! Yes, Mary is an absolute powerhouse! Her and her partner, Osama, are true visionaries and run multiple businesses across Nova Scotia! If you ever get the chance to meet them you MUST ask them all about it! You will leave them and this place feeling so happy and full of inspiration!
