I ended off my 2022 wedding season with a bang!
And in November of all months!
This is the latest in any wedding season I have shot and even though we had a tropical storm coming through that day, it was such a beautiful day for Fiona and Deven to tie to the knot!
Surrounded by all of their loved ones from near and far, Fiona and Deven hosted their wedding along Halifax’s gorgeous waterfront utilizing some local locations such as the Keith’s Brewery and The Waterfront Warehouse. Although the weather was a tad gloomy, the bride, Fiona, along with this entire group brought the sunshine! Their energy was electric and there was not a moment where everyone wasn’t smiling, laughing, hugging or dancing! As it should be with every wedding day :)
It is hard to pick a favourite moment from this day because every single moment was incredible (I am not exaggerating!), my favourite moment was stepping away with just Fiona and Deven from the party that was happening and getting some sweet bride and groom portraits under the stars along the Halifax Waterfront and with the lights that fill the city behind them! It was something that I don’t normally do but would now highly suggest especially if there are areas with some string lights or street lights! It wasn’t sunset (because we didn’t get one with the cloud cover and rain) but it was something unique for them and a wedding moment that I am putting in my bank of favourite moments I’ve shot so far in my career!!
If you are looking for a venue that gives you that East Coast charm feel, I HIGHLY suggest The Waterfront Warehouse! The food was amazing, the staff were wonderful and they will make sure that your ceremony and reception run smoothly, rain or shine!
Here’s to manifesting more downtown Halifax weddings!
