Do you really wanna know where I was April 29th?...

If you follow me on Instagram (which, hi! You should definitely follow me there!) then you would have seen me already use this Taylor Swift lyric... I had to, okay? But to answer the question, I was shooting my first wedding of the 2023 season!! Woot!

This is my first full year shooting weddings in Nova Scotia - last year I opened my books later into the year because majority of my weddings were in Belleville, Ontario - where I started my photography business - and I was back and forth a lot.


This is one of my earliest weddings I've shot (normally my season starts in late May) and I could not have asked for a better wedding or couple to start this season with!


Amber-Lyne and Kyle are the kindest, funniest, most laid-back couple who throw out many movie and tv show references (most of which I can proudly say I knew) and love to be silly. Aka. My kind of people! With this in-mind, you can imagine how AWESOME their wedding party was... they were, as I said, AWESOME!

We did first look (with the groomsmen + groom!), family and wedding party photos at Shubie Park in Dartmouth, then the ceremony and reception took place at The Lower Deck (The Tap Room) on Upper Water Street in Downtown Halifax. If you are wanting a beautiful East Coast-feel wedding, this is a great location for that!

The staff were amazing, the decor is minimalistic but perfect (I like minimal!), the lighting was dreamy, the food was delicious... I have not a single complaint about my experience and I know Amber-Lyne and Kyle had an incredible time!
