Some sneak peeks from Kate and Myles's winter wedding

(because I just couldn't wait to share)

Not many people who experience winter would plan their wedding for this date but it is a pretty sweet wedding date!

And, if done right (aka. have Kate plan your wedding because she literally thought of everything!), a wedding on this date or in the winter can be just as beautiful as an outdoor summer wedding!

This was my first all-indoor wedding and I was nervous. I am a natural light photographer and hate relying on flash or artificial lighting for my photos. Thankfully, Oakfield Golf and Country Club has tons of windows and both the ceremony and reception areas had ample lighting! Even the change room lighting was nice and the rooms were beautiful with the dark wood cabinets as a backdrop.

The weather was not going to be great with a flash freeze warning happening in the afternoon into the overnight but the wonderful thing about it being a winter wedding that was solely indoors was that the weather didn't matter (except for transportation to and from which every planned accordingly). I woke worried about it then remembered that it wouldn't change anything about the actual wedding which gave me some relief and I am sure it did for Kate and Myles as well!

It was the perfect day with some of the kindest people I have met who also were some of the easiest people to chat with! I love getting to know people at weddings not only because I enjoy meeting people but because I really like getting to know the people that my couple's surround themselves with. It gives me a deeper look into who they are and that can actually affect how I edit my photos and what moments I want to be sure I include even if the shot may not be "perfect", if that makes sense!

All this to say, it was a beautiful day!

And I am so grateful to Kate and Myles for having me, treating me like I was a friend and not just the photographer, and for the positive memories that I get to take away from their day.

:)
