"Sunrise" in Downtown Halifax
As you can see, we got a true 'Halifax Sunrise' for Marcy and Craig's engagement session.
If getting up at 5am on a Saturday to be downtown for 630am (I can’t just roll out of bed and look like a Disney princess) means that I will find ample free parking so close to where I need to be, I will be there!
Marcy and Craig chose a small section of downtown Halifax as the backdrop for their engagement photos.
There is a little “square” of the city that holds years of memories for them both and their love story! I felt like I was being given a tour not only of this part of downtown Halifax but also a "tour" of their love story and life!
Downtown Halifax has endless possibilities for backdrops! I have done a few sessions downtown now and each time I discover something new!
It is sessions like these that remind me why I offer complimentary engagement sessions with my wedding and elopement packages!
I love seeing the places that mean something to my clients and picking locations that you are familiar with helps a lot not only with nerves (who doesn’t feel weird being in front of the camera?) but it also helps me get to know you on a personal level and be able tell your story more clearly!
This shoot made me want to start setting my alarm way before our dogs wake us up (we have no need for alarms or doorbells in our house, haha!) and enjoy more quiet moments around the city and province - who’s with me? (I can hear the crickets now 😆)
